Luverne – Joe Schomacker, who seeks to replace outgoing Representative Doug Magnus in the Minnesota House, proudly announced and accepted the endorsement of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Leadership Fund.

In their release, MN Chamber of Commerce Leadership Fund Chairman Scott Thiss stated, “An endorsement by our organization is an indication to businesses and employees that Joe Schomacker is committed to leading Minnesota’s economic recovery.”

Running with the slogan, “Investing in Southwest Minnesota’s future,” Schomacker stresses the need to create a better business climate in Minnesota. A climate that will promote large and small business growth, which in turn will help income and employment rates. Schomacker mentioned, “We must bring businesses not only to Minnesota, but to our district, which all too often is not considered in the economic pie.”

“It is obvious that we must improve the conditions for businesses in our district and state, which, according to the Tax Foundation, are worse than all but seven states.”

The Leadership Fund uses specific criteria to determine the candidates it chooses to endorse. Among the criteria are evaluation of written responses, electability, and the support from the local business community. The Leadership Fund is committed to helping elect pro-business and pro-jobs candidates.
